*"ਉਧਾਰ ਦਾ ਅਮੀਰ"* ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਡੀ ਮੇਨ ਰੋਡ ਤੇ ਬਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਰੁਕੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਪਤਾ ਲਿਖਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਇਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਮਕਾਨ ਸਨ। ਇਥੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਕਿਸਨੇ ਮੰਗਵਾਇਆ ਹੋਣਾ? ਇਹ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਬੈਕ ਕਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦਸ ਮਿੰਟ ਪਹਿਲਾ 112 ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਮੰਗਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਪਤੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੀ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿੱਥੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਹੈ? ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇਓ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਈ 'ਜਨਾਬ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੀ ਰੁੱਕੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਉਦਾ ਹਾਂ।" ਇੱਕ ਮਿੰਟ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ 60-65 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ "ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਇਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਖਾਣਾ ਮੰਗਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਦਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਜਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਖਾਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਖਾਣਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪੁਹੰਚੇਗਾ।" ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਥੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਗਿਆ।" ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਨਾਬ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਥੇ ਤੱਕ ਲੈ ਆਈ। ਨੌਕਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਸਾਰ ਹੈ ਲੋਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਬਣਵਾ ਲਿਆ, ਅੱਧੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਕਮਾਈ ਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਜੋ ਬਚਦਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੀ। ਹੁਣ ਰਿਟਾਇਰਮੈਂਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੋਈ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਕਮਾ...
